Renewing
- Sign in and find the domain under My Domains.
- Use Renew, or check the auto-renew setting.
- Enom is often accessed through a reseller rather than directly.
Transfer lock
Under General Settings for the domain, labelled Registrar Lock.
Moving the notices somewhere safe
Under the domain's Contact Information. Enom holds separate registrant, admin, technical and billing contacts.
Worth knowing about Enom
Enom sits behind a great many reseller and hosting arrangements, so you may be an Enom customer without knowing it. If your web host sold you the domain, this is frequently who actually holds it.
The three that actually prevent a lapse
- A payment card that is current. An expired card with auto-renew on is the most common cause of a lapse, and the failure notice goes to the same place as everything else.
- A contact address that survives someone leaving. Not personal, and not at the domain that is expiring.
- The renewal date recorded somewhere other than the registrar's email, because that is the channel that failed.
