What we collect
- Your email address, because that is how you sign in and how alerts reach you.
- The domains you asked us to watch, and what we observed about them.
- A record of emails sent to you, so the same alert cannot be sent twice.
That is the complete list. There is no analytics script on this site, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to beyond a sign-in session.
What we do not collect
No credentials, no card details, no browsing behaviour, no data about your customers. The free check does not require an account and we do not retain who ran it.
About the domain data
Everything we record about a domain is already public: registration records, DNS, certificate transparency logs, and what a web server returns to any visitor. We are reading what anybody could read, and keeping it dated.
Who else sees it
- Paddle — billing, as Merchant of Record. They hold payment details; we do not.
- Postmark — sends the alerts and digests.
- Hetzner — hosts the server, in Finland.
Nobody else. We do not sell anything, share anything, or run advertising.
How long we keep it
The record is kept for as long as you have an account, and that is the point of it. See data retention for the detail, including what happens if you leave.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask for a copy of everything we hold, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@domainledger.io and we will do it within thirty days, usually the same week.
Deleting your account deletes the record permanently, including the duration. We will say so clearly before doing it, because it cannot be undone and cannot be rebuilt.
